David Solomont founded Transportation Services, Inc (“evTS”) in May 2018. He is company’s Chairman and CEO since inception. This company designs, develops and manufactures all-electric lightweight commercial utility vehicles. The main product of evTS is the FireFly ESV Electric Vehicle.

In the early 70’s, while studying at the Tufts University, Solomont stared working with computers. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from this university, he enrolled at the MIT’s Sloan School. After receiveing his Master’s Degree in Management from this university, in 1980, he founded Business and Professional Software, Inc. This company developed graphics software for the Apple II, which was marketed by Apple as Apple Business Graphics.

From 1984, until the mid 1990s, Solomont introduced a series of presentation software products for Apple computers and for MS-DOS.

The experienced professional, Solomont, decided to move into angel and early stage investing in software and Internet firms in the mid 90’s. So, in 1998, he founded Common Angels, based in Boston. This company was one of the first institutionalized angel groups in the USA. Solomont was its CEO until 1994. Solomont advises companies on business development, funding, mergers and acquisitions, and team building.

Over the course of his 40-years-experience, which encompasses jobs in many industries, such as software, technology, media, gaming, and transportation, David Solomont has built strong skills in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, business development, strategic planning, and venture capital.
